We are representing a prominent manufacturing and supply facility, encompassing a versatile range of capabilities within its expansive premises. DescriptionAdditional Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on sawmill equipment, ensuring optimal functionality. General machining experience with centre lathe and milling machine Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
Operate and set up a variety of machine tools to produce precision components for sawmill machinery. Read and interpret engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble parts according to specifications. Ensure that all machined components meet quality standards and tolerances.
Utilise Mig and stick welding techniques for fabrication and repair tasks. Apply welding skills to work on components related to pneumatic and hydraulics systems. Contribute to the fabrication and assembly Conduct regular safety checks on machinery and tools, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
ProfileTo be considered for this role, you will have Proven experience in general fitting, including pneumatics and hydraulics. Expertise in general machining with a centre lathe and milling machine. Proficient in Mig & stick welding techniques.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery breakdowns. Possession of a current Driver's License. Forklift License is an advantage.
