Akaliko Global is seeking the services of a highly experienced Fitter Machinist to join our new facility opening in WA. Akaliko has a global supply chain in the manufacture and repair of Hydraulic Cylinder Components for the mining industry and is a global leader in the supply and service of aftermarket components.
This is a great opportunity for someone to be involved with the start-up of the facility. Including workshop setup from scratch, helping plan/manage stock, setting out day to day operations, implementing safety and workflow standards. Training of staff and trades assistants.
The applicant we are looking will have:
- Trade qualifications in Mechanical fitting or fitting and machining (cert 3 in mechanical engineering)
- Machining - lathe, milling machine
- Experience in the strip, assess, repair, rebuild and testing process of hydraulic cylinder and suspension components
- Attention to detail, high QA/QC standards and quality workmanship
- The ability to collaborate and work with others, train lesser experienced staff and work as a team
- Have their own hand tools
- Excellent housekeeping standards
The following will be highly regarded:
- Welding - I.D. welding, mig, tig experience
- Painting and packaging experience
- Forklift ticket
- Senior first aid certificate
- Experience with OEM service information, breakdown and parts identification. CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr and others
