Fleet and Plant Manager
Company: NSBC, part of the GoZero Group, the trailblazers of zero emission transport solutions in Australia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet and Plant Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Plant & Operations Director, this role offers the opportunity to lead all aspects of our current and future fleet across multiple depots.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the current and future fleet for the group, spanning multiple depots.
- Coordinate with operations, depot managers, and workshops to schedule regular servicing, repairs, and address breakdowns, including HVIS inspections.
- Collaborate closely with the compliance manager to ensure adherence to Transport NSW regulations.
- Manage ongoing registration compliance for the entire fleet, including 6-monthly HVIS bookings, pre-inspections, defect clearance, and enhancements to regular maintenance to minimize defects.
- Assist in the integration of electric vehicles into the fleet, collaborating with manufacturers to enhance new products.
- Implement new systems to enhance efficiencies, safety standards, and reduce labour time within the maintenance framework.
Requirements:
- Background in heavy vehicle maintenance is a must.
- Mechanical qualifications are advantageous, but extensive knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics is essential to support drivers with on-the-road issues, assist in diagnoses, and liaise with mechanics and electricians when necessary.
- MR or HR license.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, given the nature of the role.
