About the role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager - Procurement and based at our Welshpool office, this role would suit a candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude and who is wanting to take a new challenge in their career.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Management of the vehicle fleet including the relationships with the external finance and services provider/s.
- Administrate the policy & procedures for the management, replacement, acquisition, and disposal of vehicles.
- Conduct analysis on current fleet and services and determine options and recommendations.
- Develop monthly reporting to track fleet requirements, performance, issues, and opportunities, etc. and provide analysis and insights.
- Develop and maintain standardised specifications, builds and accessories for vehicles, ensuring that legislative, client operational requirements are met and meet and operational requirements are met.
- Optimise lifecycle of vehicles to mitigate excess wear and tear, excess costs, and look to extend vehicle service life.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste and administration, and improve lifecycle and total cost of ownership of vehicles.
- Handle vehicle insurance claims, coordinating quotes, inspections, and repairs between the insurance company and drivers/supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
- Review and action reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as quote turnaround, vehicle availability, and analysing data to make informed decisions and improvements.
- Experience in similar roles in fleet management or at dealership with developed automotive industry knowledge.
- Well-developed analytical skills applicable to finance, compiling & reviewing data, providing reports, and systems understanding, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Customer service approach towards interacting with colleagues and stakeholders with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as business, commerce, logistics, asset management, or trade qualification.
- Demonstrating familiarity with fleet maintenance practices and compliance standards.
