Floater Chef

The Role:

Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint an engaging hospitality professional to a Full time Floater Chef position at our Cater care Sydney location.  We have Boarding Schools, Aged Care, Retirement Homes, and Hospitals.  Our sites stretch from Woolongong to Nambucca Heads and out to Dubbo.  Come join our team!  Travel and Accommodation paid for when travelling outside Sydney by more then 3 hrs. Be flexible and willing to travel outside of Sydney on occasion.  Must have at least 7 years Chef experience and able to work from Multiple Menus.  Must understand quantities for ordering and cooking. Willing to work weekends.

Roster: All days 6am to 7pm. No evening work- 40hrs/week

What This Role Involves:

• Preparing and presenting food for our residents
• Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
• Maintaining a clean working environment
• Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
• Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude
• Preparing and presenting texture modified foods

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience in kitchens and food preparation
• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantage)
• Previous experience in aged care or catering (advantage)
