Floor Installer And Layer Specialist

Main Skills:
Skilled and experienced in wooden floor installation, in particular with European Flooring like Quick-Step Parquet, Holzboden and Tregulv. Experience working with Italian Mapei levelling cement and adhesives for timber and vinyl floors.

• Installing timber floors and resilient flooring systems, including solid hardwood floors, floating floors, laminate floors, vinyl floors, parquetry floors and engineered floors, and associated carpentry works such as the installation of timber subfloors (bearers, joists and/or battens).
• Applying waterproofing systems and adhesives and setting.
• Performs finish and rough carpentry services in the construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of buildings.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematic drawings to perform work assignments. Installs furnishings, flooring, fixtures and carpentry materials in renovation, repair, and maintenance.
• Repairs items constructed of wood, performs flooring repairs.
• Performs concrete work such as forming, altering and repairing sidewalks, pads for equipment, stairways and curbing, and leveling sub-floors.
• Operates and maintains wood-working, metal-working and other carpentry tools and machinery.
• Drives and maintains utility vehicles.
• Takes required precautions when working with hazardous chemicals, materials and power equipment.
• Performs related responsibilities as required and any other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
• Following instruction consistently and promptly.
• Work to meet time schedules for projects.
• Punctual start according to company working hours.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Receiving and understand daily tasks by email/text.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures. Including drugs & Alcohol policy, Anti-bullying, and, privacy procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Trade qualified;
• At least five years relevant floor laying work experience in these tasks;
• Car license.

Package:

• Full-time;
• 40 hours per week (additional hours as reasonably required);
• Base Salary is $72,800 pa
