We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on individual who upholds the highest standards and will lead by example. You will have demonstrated success in the flooring industry and have a commitment to ensuring best practices are provided to our apprentices. You will possess a keen interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their careers as Flooring Installers through an apprenticeship model.
This role can be based in New South Wales, Queensland or at our Head Office in Rowville, Vicotria.
It is critical that you can create and foster close working relationships with all key staff within the team and be able to build strong relationships with students and employers. To do this they will be a good communicator, supportive, and have a 'can-do' attitude.
This position focuses on excellence in planning and conducting teaching and assessment. The role also includes resource development and educational administration.
YOUR ROLE
You will:
- Work with other members of the training team to provide high quality training and assessment to apprentices.
- Mentor participants through their apprenticeship program.
- Conducting onsite visits and participating in community projects around the country
- Supporting students in blended modes of delivery.
- Positively contributing to assessment validation and quality processes
- Providing a positive learning environment with support and understanding for students.
- Visiting apprentices at their workplace to conduct training and complete assessments
The successful applicant will require:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in flooring installation
- Certificate III in Flooring Technology (desired but not essential)
- Demonstrated Industry work history
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Excellent time management, ability to multi-skill and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent computer skills (word, power point, excel)
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) or willing to undertake the qualification
Essential:
- Must be a team player with plenty of flexibility, positivity, and a can-do attitude
- Must be able to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check
