Form of workThe Australian Airline Pilot Academy Victoria (AAPAV) is currently seeking qualified Flying Instructors at our airline pilot training academy in Ballarat.
AAPA and AAPA Victoria are wholly owned subsidiaries of Regional Express Holdings Ltd (Rex), Australia’s largest independent regional airline with campuses in Ballarat Victoria and Wagga Wagga NSW.
AAPA is a Registered Training Organisation, CRICOS and CASR approved 141 and 142 Training Organisation and provides the highest quality flight training to airline standards, including the successful delivery of the Rex Pilot Cadet Programme and training to a growing number of cadets destined for Vietnam Airlines, several Chinese and Singaporean carriers, utilising Piper Warrior III, Cessna 172S and Piper Seminole aircraft fitted with EFIS cockpits and advanced GPS equipment. The AAPA group holds Training Organisation approvals from CASA, the CAAC, CAAS, GCAA (UAE) and the CAAV.
Requirements:
- Australian ATPL (A) or CPL (A)
- Current Flight Instructor Rating with a Grade 1or 2 Training Endorsement
Desirable but not essential:
- 50 hours as a pilot of a multi-engine aeroplane
- Instrument Rating – Multi-engine Aeroplane
- Instrument Rating Training Endorsement
- Multi-engine Class Rating Training Endorsement
Successful applicants with an Instrument Rating will be provided training for the Multi Engine Training Endorsement and Instrument Rating Training Endorsement will be provided within 6 months of employment in accordance with the award. AAPA instructors are eligible for employment opportunities within Regional Express Pty Ltd (Rex) subject to meeting the airline’s standard recruitment requirements.
