Midnight Hotel Autograph Collection is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic team player with exceptional Guest Service experience as a Food and Beverage Manager to join the team.
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for driving the success of our Food and Beverage department by enhancing the guest experience and implementing innovative strategies and maintaining brand standards. Oversee all activities in Braddon Merchant, Midnight Bar, Conference & Events and Room Service, through effective planning, organising, direct control and evaluating the operations by training, coaching, and leading the Food and Beverage team. Strive to continually improve guest satisfaction and understand/embrace the Hotel’s relationship with Marriott International.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service and experience for our guests by meet & greet and give them an experience beyond their expectations.
- Overseeing all aspects of Food and Beverage maximise sales and drive revenue consistently by implementing innovative strategies and maintaining focus on quality.
- To promote a positive environment to maintain productivity levels amongst all team members.
- Demonstrate confidence and strong Food & Beverage knowledge to our guests by providing detailed Food and recommendations.
- Effective management of the Hotel’s menu creation & execution, SOP development, involvement and creative input for marketing content related to all outlets.
- Foster an inclusive, vibrant, positive work culture within the team with effective management of staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Consistent approach in supporting, training, coaching, and leading the food & beverage team.
- Maintaining the overall presentation, cleanliness, and the stock levels of the location.
- Ability to open and close the venue and train the team in the required procedures.
- Collaborate with other colleagues, including kitchen staff, sales team, housekeeping, and front office teams.
- Responsible for maintaining the premises by arranging routine & reactive maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrate financial acumen by managing Food and Beverage operations within budget, effective forecasting and planning F&B budget as well as assist General Manager in F&B Capex.
- Work closely with F&B management to immediately address all customer concerns and create an exceptional dining experience.
- Meet wage cost targets through roster management as per needs of the business by verifying the associates time and attendance vs. roster every fortnight and approve for payroll process.
- Ability to address and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Effective management of the Hotel’s stock control through product ordering and inventory management as well as maintaining cost of goods and other expenses.
- Ability to build rapport with guests and provide them with exceptional customer experience.
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety Procedures as well as food safety and sanitisation procedures.
- Have a complete understanding of and ensure the team adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
