Darwin FreeSpirit Resort is a tropical oasis to travelers and locals alike! We're a 20+ Acre resort that is home to over 160 cabins, 300+ Caravan sites, motel rooms, and an excellent range of facilities for our guests. We're looking for a strong and established leader to take responsibility for our onsite restaurant 'Elements Bar and Bistro'. This challenging and fast-paced role will keep you on your toes as no two days are alike! Being 'hands-on' in daily operations, leading by example, and proving you are just as skilled in the behind-the-scenes administration, will serve you well in achieving targets and goals with your team. There is a lot of support and knowledge on hand but also a good balance of autonomy and decision-making for an experienced manager to sink their teeth into. Qualifications & experience
- Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager, or as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager/supervisor with an exceptional track record.
- Experience in a medium-large multifaceted venue with experience in achieving budgets and KPI's consistently.
- Solid understanding of COGS and budgets.
- NT Gaming license / RSA / RSG.
- Current First Aid Qualification (Desirable).
- Strong people and performance management skills.
- Experience with recruitment, HR, HIG Award, Compliance etc;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- H&L POS Experience (Desirable)

Tasks & responsibilities
- Successfully managing all aspects of the day to day operations of a busy food and beverage outlet inside a large family resort.
- Hands on recruitment, training, and mentoring, of your team of food and beverage superstars.
- Financial reconciliation of your department, stock control, ordering, and troubleshooting.
- Creating strong and lasting professional relationships with all key suppliers, reps, stakeholders, colleagues, and customers.
- Liaising with the Head Chef, Resort Management, and Functions coordinator to ensure the smooth operations of any functions and events.
- Overseeing daily operations of our gaming lounge and gaming licensed employees.
- Ensure standard procedures and processes are in place for compliant operations.
- Working closely with our Function & Events coordinator and Head Chef to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Liaising with our Marketing department to implement regular advertisements and marketing solutions to increase revenue.
- Any additional adhoc duties that fall within the purview of an experienced Food and Beverage Manager.
