The Role

We are looking for a hard working, energetic individual to join our team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor. You will provide excellent customer service and F&B waiting for the various F&B venues at Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon, to ensure the presentation of bar and food areas are in accordance with the high standards of our Discovery brand.

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing general Food & Beverage waiting duties, meeting and greeting guests, taking guest's orders, clearing tables
  • Assisting in managing cash, stock and asset security strategies in line with company policies and procedures
  • Assisting with delivery, distribution and rotation of stock
  • Conducting stock takes and stock movement reporting
  • Monitoring rosters, team member allocation, daily changes and attendance approval
  • Identifying problems or issues that are required to be escalated to Senior Management
  • Maintaining safe work environment by assisting with implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Other duties as directed by the F&B Manager
About You

To be successful in this role you must have the following knowledge, experience and attributes: 

  • Positive, bubbly and outgoing personality
  • Fantastic customer service
  • Relevant resort/hotel/Food & Beverage experience
  • Certified Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Certified Food Handling Certificate
  • Coffee making/Barista training certificate (desirable but not necessary)
  • Previous experience with Opera/Micros POS (desirable but not necessary)
  • Team orientated but also able to work autonomously
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Flexible attitude to hours, including weekends and on short notice
  • Effective decision making skills

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Kings Canyon. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
