Join Our Team as a Part-Time Food Coordinator at Tall Tree Early Learning Manning!

Tall Tree Early Learning Mullaloo is seeking a dedicatedFood Coordinator to join our team on a part-time 3 days a week, with hours from 7 am to 1 pm each day.

About the role:

As the Food Coordinator for our Early Learning Centre, your core responsibility is to meticulously plan and execute a nutritious menu in line with National guidelines. Beyond meal planning, you'll actively engage children, fostering their understanding of food sources, healthy eating, and food sustainability. This role involves developing educational activities, considering dietary restrictions, and collaborating with kitchen staff, educators, and parents. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing nutritious, diverse and interesting food options for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
• To buy, plan, and cook nutritionally balanced meals that align with the Tall Tree food safety program and Nutrition Australia guidelines
• To review the centre menu based on seasonal foods, needs, and interests of children
• To calculate and maintain a weekly shopping budget
• To ensure complete familiarity with any special dietary needs of our children and ensure that these needs are met
• To prepare all meals for the centre, including but not limited to breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea
• To ensure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all times
