We are seeking enthusiastic Food Services Assistants to join our Food Services Team at Western Health Successful applicants will need to be able to demonstrate their ability to work within the team and independently, have excellent communication skills and have proven reliability/flexibility working within the health workforce. We are seeking staff that are focused on providing the best possible care for our patients and dedicated to ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained within the areas of responsibility.
Morning and afternoon shifts are available including weekends.
To be Successful in this Role you need to:
- Have demonstrated experience in frontline Patient Care / Customer Service.
- High standards and knowledge of food safety and food hygiene matters.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have experience in plating of food, heating and delivery of meals to patients.
- Be able to work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Have a highly developed interpersonal skills, attention to detail and positive proactive attitude.
- Have intermediate computer skills to navigate through the menu ordering software.
- Be able to work independently and be self-driven.
- Be able to work additional shifts as required.
- Be able to work under pressure and readily adapt to change.
- Have previous experience working in a busy healthcare environment.
- To undergo a Police Records / Working with Children Check.
- Food Handlers certificate is essential
