The Opportunity

HealthShare NSW is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join the Patient Support Services teams within our hospitals and health facilities across the state. Expressions of interest are now being accepted at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick for Food Services Assistant roles. Upon receiving vacancies, candidates will be contacted to undergo a pre-interview screening assessment, following which they will be considered for available roles.
Our Food Services Assistant roles are based in hospitals and multi-purpose services across NSW. In these roles you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of hospital patients across NSW.
You will need to work across a seven-day rotating roster, and responsibilities include: order taking, meal assembly, meal preparation and distribution of patient meals, recording intake, dishwashing and other associated cleaning duties and waste management.

Eligibility Requirements
- Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description.
- Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa.
- This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11) for a complete list of required vaccines. During application, please upload OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with any vaccination evidence you have.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliance
All NSW Health workers must provide evidence of a COVID-19 primary vaccination course (2 doses) which have been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate if received in Australia, or overseas records from a legitimate source.
