What You Will Be Doing
The food service assistant is responsible for food preparation, meal assembly and delivery of patient meals, service of beverages and mid melas items, collection and cleaning of patients trays and utensils and assistance of cleaning of all food service equipment.
We currently have a PPT position available at our Frankston Hospital Site on our afternoon shift 22.5 hours per fortnight, with the ability to pick up additional shifts.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current food hygiene certificate
- Experience in health care environment (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of manual handling and OH&S guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills

*Please refer to salary circular Victorian Public Health Sector (Health Professionals, Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current (post 2019) food safety certificate level1 HLTFSE001/follow basic Food Services practices?
Essential: Have you had previous experience as a food service assistant in health or age care?
Essential: Can you offer flexible working hours?
Essential: Do you have an understanding of special dietary requirements?
