About the role
The Forecast and Demand Planner is responsible for:
- Liaising with customers regarding forecasts and future demand
- Assessing forecasts, applying industry knowledge, to provide the business with information to base business decisions
- Providing information to Operations for resourcing and capacity planning purposes
- Converting customer demand into production requirements to optimise the efficiency of the operations
This is a full-time role offered on a permanent or contract basis.
About you
You're a clear and effective communicator, able to coordinate with various stakeholders, including sales, production and finance and our suppliers and customers. You love to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as production, freight and sales to align on forecasts, address challenges, and ensure smooth execution of plans.
You have fantastic problem-solving and analytical skills. You can identify potential issues in demand forecasts or supply chain processes, analyse data and identify trends, generating insights and creative solutions inform demand forecasts and inventory management decisions.
You have a positive, can-do attitude and high emotional intelligence, enabling you to build amazing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide a quality service to our business.
You will be at home, working in a SME (where flexibility is important in a small team environment) and enjoy contributing to the team culture and environment more broadly.
Qualifications & experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Advanced computer skills using the Microsoft suite of products (in particular MS Excel).
- Familiarity with planning software such as B2Wise and ERP systems such as MS D365.
- DD-MRP experience would be ideal.
