Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working in a highly motivated team, we are excited to be recruiting for this new role that will be responsible for forecasting customer demand, developing accurate demand plans and collaborating with various departments to ensure inventory optimization for 2 of our premium sporting brands – Arc’teryx and Salomon.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for products, considering historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to gather input and insights that inform demand forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse demand patterns, adjusting forecasts as needed to reflect changing market conditions or business priorities.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet forecasted demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels, identifying potential shortages or excesses, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Analyse forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance forecasting precision.
- Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand forecasts with production and inventory plans
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities that may impact demand forecasts.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on demand planning metrics, trends, and insights for stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss sales projections, inventory levels, and supply chain strategies.
- Engage with regional and global brand stakeholders to drive best practice sharing and process alignment.
So who’s keen?
The ideal candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience in demand planning, forecasting or a related role. Critical to your success will be strong analytical skills as well as advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with SAP, SAP Analytics, BI or similar tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential and Amer Sports ANZ is a fast-paced environment so will suit someone who can manage multiple priorities effectively will thrive in our team.
