Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forensic Intake and Triage Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting initial assessments, triaging cases, and providing expert psychological evaluations for individuals involved in the legal system. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate mental health support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and initial psychological evaluations for individuals referred by the criminal justice system.
- Triage cases based on urgency and severity, ensuring clients receive appropriate and timely interventions.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and provide expert consultation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Hold general registration with AHPRA
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and manage complex cases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
