About the Role:
As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of interventions as part of a Multidisciplinary Team, providing support services to the guests of our facility and their families. While primarily based at one of our central hubs, you may be required to work across multiple sites as an employee of Shy Rehab.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of high-quality allied health interventions under the guidance of the treating Allied Health Clinician(s).
- Providing clinical support to the teams at Shy Rehab, as directed by the treating Allied Health Clinician(s).
- Delivering clinical evidence-based therapy programs to clients.
- Assisting with the delivery of hydrotherapy services.
- Coordinating health programs.
- Providing administration support to Health Professionals and the Administration team.
- Assessment and therapy sessions scheduled and managed by you to meet your work/life balance.
- Work with other staff, including Speech Pathologists, OTs, and AHAs to provide shared and individual sessions.
- Follow your client's lead to create interesting and purposeful sessions to increase capacity.
About You:
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of NDIS Worker Screening Clearance prior to commencing.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety, and You" before starting.
- Willingness to work within the Philosophy, Policies, and Procedures of Shy Rehab.
- Demonstrated ability to provide in-scope allied health services that support and complement the treating Allied Health Clinician and the guests.
- Proficiency in timely response, appropriate documentation, and accurate record-keeping using computerized programs.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, particularly in building and maintaining rapport with staff and clients.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and manage workloads to meet agreed timelines and objectives.
- Current First Aid Certificate, blue card and police check or willingness to obtain them prior to employment.
- Ability to identify other needs that Shy Rehab can assist guests with and provide relevant and timely referrals.
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives, or Shy Rehab Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
- Possession of a current Driver's License and willingness to drive as part of the job requirements, must have a registered car at all times.
- Compliance with relevant probity checks mandated by legislation and Shy Rehab policy.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Occupational Therapist - Requires Bachelor or Master Degree & APHRA registration (new graduate can apply)
- Speech Pathologist - Requires Bachelor or Master Degree & SPA registration
- Psychologist - registered under APA and APHRA
