About the role:Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Manager, the Quality Officer (Burleigh Heads) is responsible for quality control throughout the packaging process in our forensic packs facility. The Quality Officer will contribute to the development of business quality assurance and the ISO 18385 certified QMS towards agreed operational and financial goals. This will involve collaboration with the packaging team and varied internal stakeholders to support Aruma’s purpose and values, enhancing the lives of people with a disability.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete checklists and coordinate quality inspections with team leaders and Supervisors.
- Support the Quality and Compliance Manager with maintenance of ISO 18385 certification by conducting internal audits, supplier audits, and proposing continuous improvement of procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare reports to communicate the outcomes of QA and QC activities.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation and assist with supplier review.
- Maintain the equipment calibration and maintenance register.

- Experience working within a regulated industry and with an ISO certified QMS.
- Experience of root cause analysis techniques and CAPA planning and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer literacy and the capacity to adopt new technologies to support business improvement.
- Experience with SharePoint highly desirable.
- Sound organisational and planning skills, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card or ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
