An opportunity exists for a full-time Cybersecurity & Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Officer to join the Biomedical Engineering team at Western Health.
The Biomedical Engineering Cybersecurity & Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Officer is an experienced IT professional who demonstrates mature knowledge, judgment and broad policy control in issues relating to medical device cybersecurity. This includes device-specific action plans with reported vulnerabilities and threat prevention programs. The successful candidate will ensure that records of such work are maintained accurately; assisting the clinical and IT professionals with biomedical equipment evaluation and advice. The successful candidate will also participate directly in the life-cycle management and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Additionally, the successful candidate will need to undertake a range of reviews, analysis, reporting, governance, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of Medical Device Security business and reporting to the Victorian Health Sector for Medical Device Security. The Biomedical Engineering Department will provide vendor-specific training as required.
