Our Brisbane-based business provides marketing services for growers' produce through our market floor.
The Position
An Operations Support role encompasses many different assignments, and could see you performing a variety of different tasks. What roles should you expect to fill as an Operations Support team member?
- Produce Retail Assistant - Store set up, merchandising, fruit displays, packing and wrapping of products
- Sales Support - Learn how to anticipate the needs of our brilliant Sales Team, helping to position and look after our fresh produce and finding ways to make the day go smoothly
- Forklift Operations - Safe and efficient forklift driving including the loading and unloading of trucks, operating in a warehouse environment, delivering loads to customers in a busy market, store set up. (If you don't have a forklift license, you won't perform this role. We can help you get a forklift license in the future, if you're interested.)
- Pick and Pack - Pick and pack orders per customer requirements, matching inventory with customer quality preferences and accurately fulfilling requests from the sales team
- Produce Environment Maintenance - Maintain product integrity, ensuring work areas are clean and fit to store fresh produce
Other tasks you need to be aware of:
- Assist despatch, sales, warehouse and floor staff and the management team as required or directed
- Work in a refrigerated environment
- Operate electric pallets jacks
- Manual handling techniques with repetitive lifting of stock up to 20kg.
About you
The role requires you to be able to lift, carry and store produce, have a good eye for detail, and a willingness to learn about fresh produce, seasons and products.
- Basic computer skills / understanding
- Attention to detail whilst working in a fast pace environment, keeping a cool head under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong safety focus.
