AddressBe Recruitment are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Foster Care Case Manager (Identified Position) in the Inner West area to join a reputable Not for Profit organisation.
About The Role
The Foster Care Case Manager will utilise a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support young people who are unable to live with their birth families.
As part of your responsibilities, you will undertake comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, monitor, and review their client plan and outcomes that identify strengths as well as areas of risk, ensuring children and young people are actively engaged in the process.
Working collaboratively across the agency and with external colleagues to support the young people is central to the role's success.
About You
- Diploma qualification in a relevant subject.
- 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable young people and their families, preferrable in an Out of Home Care or Child Protection setting.
- Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
- Ability to identify and respond to risk
- Comprehensive understanding of Child Protection legislation and its practical application
- Imbedded understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice
- Experience and knowledge of theoretical approaches when working with children and families including strengths-based approach and attachment theory
- Working With Children Check
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
- Full Australian driver’s license
- Be fully vaccinated or exempt from vaccination against COVID 19.
