AddressOur client is a highly successful, established provider of products, and services within the healthcare sector. Following significant investment, they are poised to expand their national footprint even further. As a result they are seeking to appoint a FP&A and Pricing Analyst who will play a crucial role in this growth. With the primary responsibilities of this role to manage a suite of board and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting it will also play a pivotal role in determining optimal pricing strategies for a diverse range of products. The analytical insights provided will have a direct impact on market competitiveness, profitability, and business growth. This is a full-time, permanent position based at their national head office located in South-West Sydney.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and improve the suite of management reporting including weekly sales and margin reporting, and monthly financial reporting.
- Manage monthly Board reporting, further automating reports and provide deeper insights into sales, margin, opex cost and profitability metrics.
- Co-ordinate the annual budget process, building models that internal business partners can utilise to develop clear financial plans and targets driving performance across the business in line with the business strategy.
- Develop a rolling forecast process that provides visibility to management of the future financial impact of current business performance and external industry and macro-economic trends.
- Conduct pricing analysis and strategy development through market and competitor research.
- Review and enhance existing pricing strategies with data-driven adjustments.
- Identify and capitalise on pricing opportunities, adjusting strategies based on market trends and customer behaviour.
- Monitor customer buying patterns for potential adjustments and/or strategies.
- Track competitors' pricing, promotions, and product offerings to maintain competitiveness and align with market trends.
- Provide insights on competitive positioning and potential market threats to sustain market leadership.
- Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to communicate pricing performance, market trends, and recommended actions.
- Monitor pricing compliance across various channels, addressing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in sales, marketing, finance, and product development to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
You will have:
- Prior relevant experience in a similar commercial, financial and/or analytical position.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and ideally completed CA/CPA.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Pricing software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle high levels of ambiguity and complexity in a business undergoing significant transformation.
- Capable of applying analytical frameworks to solve critical business issues in collaboration with key stakeholders.
