Your new role- Sea Operations Manager
We are seeking a committed, dynamic, and seasoned Sea Operations Manager to join the team on a full-time basis. Come to work every day with your adaptable, proactive mindset, and relish the opportunity to be a valued member of our exceptional team.
In addition to possessing experience in a comparable position, key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- To ensure Operations Department runs as a cost effective/profitable unit
- Analyse departments statistical and financial figures with Directors (when required)
- Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
- Responsibility for the implementation of procedures relating to their area
- Responsibility for the identification, filing, collection, indexing etc. of all quality records, which serve to demonstrate achievement of quality requirements and the effective operation of the Quality Management System
- Responsible for the timely investigation of non-conformance requests, corrective action requests and customer complaint requests directed to them for resolution
- Responsible for documenting all changes resulting from management reviews, the approval of changes to documents and the subsequent re-issue once these changes have been incorporated
- Responsible for the review of customer purchase orders, telephone, over-the-counter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
What you will need to succeed
- 5 years experience as a Sea Operations Manager
- Previous management experience with a strong ability to drive, develop and motivate team members
- Management level experience
- Freight forwarding and customs experience
- Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
- Experience influencing and engaging key figures in client organizations
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
