AddressPaccon Logistics Pty Ltd an international global forwarder located in Parramatta is looking for a dynamic Imports Operations Customer Service officer to join the team. Office is within walking distance of public transport.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the role entails but is not limited to:
- Coordinate with clients, carriers, overseas network, cartage, and brokerage teams related to import shipments.
- Process documents efficiently and promptly ensure they are correct and have been entered into the operations system.
- Distribute required documents to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Monitor availability of cargo for both air & sea (FCL & LCL & Air)
- Prepare documentation for transport companies and ensure all customs and AQIS procedures have been carried out and met.
- Arrange cartage of inbound cargo for air & sea shipments (including cross trade shipments)
- Monitor cargo, damaged/pilfered cargo, and update client in a timely manner.
- Providing reports for clients as required.
- Working closely with warehouse to coordinate warehouse transfers, container deliveries.
- Manage tasks / workflow processes.
To be considered for this role the successful applicant will need to possess and demonstrate the following:
- Must possess Freight Forwarding experience in both Import Sea and Air with minimum 2 - 3 years experience in industry
- High level of computer literacy skills and experience using Cargowise EDI, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Proven high level customer service skills
- High-Level English communication skills, both written and verbally
- Be personable, reliable, self motivated and be able to work efficiently and effectively
- High level attention to detail and accuracy, ability to perform end-to-end import operations tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
- Someone who can show initiative
