Qualifications & experience
- No previous experience is required as on the job training will be provided, however experience in retail or a background in hospitality/cooking would be of great advantage as is the drive to acquire new skills and being a quick learner.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of accountability and commitment to deliver high quality service are required.
- Being self-motivated, reliable and physically robust as well as being able to work independently with flexibility to support other teams are highly valued.
Tasks & responsibilities
- The principal purpose of the role is to set up and maintain the Fresh Produce section at our stores in Woollahra and Balmain as well as assisting in warehouse and produce stock transfers between stores.
- Provide excellent customer service and assisting with any queries to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Co-ordinate with Produce Supervisor and other team members to provide crucial stock related information for stock level management as well as quality control.
- Independently restocking and merchandising the produce section.
- Assisting with receiving and marking off incoming stock accurately. Incoming stock is organised ready for store transfer or merchandising, or otherwise dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- All storage facilities as well as the shop is kept clean and tidy, including correct stock location and stock rotation to minimise wastage or expiry of items.

- Initially casual employment with training to commence at the beginning of April and full- time hours starting end of April with shifts Tuesday to Saturday (5 days) in various locations including Balmain, Woollahra and Rosebery.
A full and valid driver's license is required for this role with the ability and confidence to drive a delivery van.
Please note that working remotely is not available for this hands-on role as it requires the staff member to be physically present to perform these duties.
