Hills Tankers is a family-owned bulk liquid carrier. Since 1960, when the first Hills fuel tanker began operating in Maitland, the family business has grown into one of Australia's leading transport companies, employing over 200 staff across multiple depots across the east coast of Australia.
The Hills Tanker’s Beresfield site also boasts a Truck Wash facility which is open to the public.
We have an opportunity to engage a new team member for our small accounts/ administration department at our Beresfield Head Office.
This is a full-time position on-site, however, for the right candidate, part-time options may be available.
About You:
You must have a genuine interest in a career in administration, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be a quick learner with an ability to manage competing priorities. A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and a can-do attitude will see you succeed in this role.
The Role / Responsibilities:
- Front desk reception duties – welcome guests and greet visitors to site.
- Liaise with various business stakeholders in a polite and courteous manner -providing excellent customer service (face-to-face, telephone and electronic)
- Order and maintain office supplies
- Undertake and manage domestic travel bookings
- Manage telecommunication assets
- Carry out business administration and accounts functions such as data input, reconciliation.
- Book-keeping entries for the Truck Wash facility:
- processing sales invoices,
- customer payments
- Delivery job entry for customer invoicing
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
Essential criteria:
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent attendance record
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- An understanding of basic accounting functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
Highly regarded experience with the following:
- Logistics Business
- Translogix ERP system
- Quickbooks
