About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, detail obsessed, experienced Duty Manager to join our team and report to the Front Office Manager. You will co-ordinate and oversee the effective running of the Front Office and liaise with all departments in the hotel to assist in delivering a superior guest experience.
The position responsibilities include:
The cultivation of an environment where positive service culture is paramount. To create a sense of welcome and service spirit within the Front Office team.
To achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and staff.
To have a high profile in the foyer giving special recognition to regular guests.
To be supportive and actively involved in service development.
Effectively communicating and logging feedback received.
Ability to anticipate problems and take effective action achieving resolution. Proactively resolving guest requests and issues in a timely manner.
An effective system of quality control by utilising shift checklists, revision of procedures and implementation of standards
You will be responsible for the running and security of the hotel in the absence of higher management.
The role will be on a rotating roster.

Skills and experience
- Immaculate presentation, personal style and advanced communication skills
- Previous Front Office experience as a Duty Manager or Supervisor and advanced OPERA PMS knowledge
- Ability to anticipate and exceed guest expectations through an intuitive approach to guest services
- Accurately complete reports, accounts, handovers and guest correspondence
