SalaryA fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Front Office manager to join our team.
If you have excellent customer service skills, work well in a fast-paced environment then we would like to hear from you. Our 4-star resort is located 10 minutes south of the Cairns CBD.
The right candidate will be responsible for managing front of house, which provides our first point of contact for all our resort guests, long term tenants and owner occupiers of the resort. You will be assisting with all aspects of their stay, including check in, check out, guest inquiries, providing information on resort facilities, tour sales and associated reception duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take charge of the Front Office in managing the daily operations while working as part of the wider Resort management team.
- Ensuring a high degree of customer service at the Front Office, providing all guests/residents a warm welcome to the resort.
- Supervising guest arrivals and departures, ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures.
- Optimising revenue opportunities, seeking out business efficiencies in room inventory management and sales.
- Be conversant in property rules, security systems, fire, health and safety and emergency procedures.
- Maintaining accurate guest accounts, adhering to confidentiality policies and procedures;
- Good knowledge of Hirum reservations system or similar reservation software.
- Stock control and ordering, linen, consumables, maintenance materials etc.
- Must be available any day of the week and weekends included.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will be/have the following:
- Previous experience in Front Office management, reception and or reservations.
- Certificate III or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Management or related discipline; highly regarded.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required.
