Form of work We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly organised, and collaborative individual to join this market-leading proprietary Trading Firm as a Traders Assistant.
This role will give you the opportunity to enter the dynamic environment of trading with a team of knowledgeable professionals.
The main responsibilities are to:
- Ensure the smooth execution, crossing, confirmation, and reconciliation of trades
- Build relationships with a number of external parties, including brokers, direct counterparties and clearers, to cross and clear a high volume of trades
- Responsible for investigating and resolving any general position and pricing issues
- Update and manage all exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets
- Act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, traders or brokers
- A relevant degree – e.g. Finance, Commerce/Business, Actuarial etc
- Working experience with Excel - knowledge of Python, VBA and SQL will be highly regarded
- Thorough knowledge of equity and equity derivatives
- Very high attention to detail, Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
