We are seeking enthusiastic and clinically experienced nurses who are passionate about patient care to join the Emergency team.
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) ,you will take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care and work in partnership with Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) providing supervision, direction and guidance to deliver patient care.
You will also provide support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their health care, rehabilitation or end of life needs and maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
About the Company
The hospital offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, general medicine, gynaecology and maternity, oncology, orthopaedics, urology and vascular surgery. Ashford Hospital has 9 operating theatres, 1 procedure room, 2 angiography labs, an Emergency Department, maternity services and a 24 bed level 3 critical care unit.
About You
Current Registration with AHPRA or In-Principle approval
a minimum 2 years experience in a Critical Care or Emergency Nursing environment
Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards)-Desired
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
