Full Stack Developer

• Location: Work from home and Chatswood office (hybrid working)
• Every Monday and last Tuesday every month from the office 
• Working with one of the biggest NSW departments.

The primary purpose of the role

This role will provide Full Stack development, developing bespoke solutions to increase the accessibility of critical project and contract information with flexibility to access and update project and contract information. This role will develop analytical product offerings to augment mainstream applications with customised solutions built to target certain user segments.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide impetus for change across the portfolio by providing relevant, accurate accessible, and credible information and analysis that supports both the vision internally and the development of customer-focused change strategies, programs, and initiatives.
• Development of bespoke applications to deliver analytics that support project outcomes.
• Implement digital solutions that improve access to Business Intelligence Products, data, and predictive model results that contribute to the delivery of actionable insights.
• Manage the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of bespoke analytics applications to collect project information more efficiently, arm projects with access to predictive models, and support mobile access to information.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain cloud solutions and major computing, network, security, and storage services.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define feature requirements and deliver the product that materially impacts the business and improves the user experience.
• Design and implement scalable web service APIs for optimal user experience.
• Develop and manage technical documentation (system and user) to detail product functionality, unify information and support ongoing maintenance.

• Establishing productive working relationships with stakeholders placed within the government, industry, and wider community as the trusted source of project insights by providing industry-leading analytics platforms.
• Ensuring quality of all deliverables in a high-volume work environment and ability to meet demands resulting from tight timeframes and competing priorities.
• Achieving multiple objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities.

Key knowledge and experience

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Full Stack development in a production environment, including with a broad range of client and server programming languages (including but not limited to HTML, CSS, Angular, C#, Java, Python) Node.JS, Snowflake- Data warehousing experience is required
• Web application experience is good to have.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in relational database technology and query languages
• Experience in the development of web service APIs such as RESTful APIs
• Proven experience in working in a fast-paced Analytics and Technology environment, preferably using Agile principles.
• Knowledge and experience of cloud computing, including implementation, administration, operations and major services related to compute, network, security, and storage.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing controls to manage security and risk.

Must have Australian citizenship or Permanent Resident and should be residing in NSW.
