Our professional and active Fairlight family who sometimes WFH is seeking a reliable, caring, and nurturing nanny who is also a great communicator and maintains a positive and bubbly demeanor. The family requires someone who prioritizes the well-being of the baby and enjoys cooking. Ensuring the baby is well cared for and loved is a priority.
Position Description
Upon arrival, drop off the oldest child at school using car or public transport. Return home, take over caring for the baby from the mother, and take a walk to the nearby park or cafe. Put down the baby for a nap and after waking up, feed the baby, play, or attend classes. Household duties related to the children need to be done.
The family has two Labradoodles dogs that sleep all day. Having a nanny who enjoys being around dogs is a bonus.
The successful candidate will enjoy a quiet home environment, open communication, trust and being part of the family.
The candidate will plan appropriate activities for the children and the family is also open to signing up for other activities if the nanny is interested, such as swimming, bush school, messy play, playgroups, baby sensory, or gymbaroo. The family had a long term nanny previously and looking forward to a new nanny to join the family when Mum returns to work and work as a team.
Duties & Responsibilities include
- Building a strong relationship with the children
- Having prior experience working with babies and multiple children
- Organising and planning fun, creative and engaging activities
- Managing children-related chores
- Meal preparation
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- Maintaining all aspects of the care routine for the child
Candidate Requirements
To apply, you MUST have the following experience, attitude, and qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license (car provided)
- Willingness to support parents working from home
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience working with children
- A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current National Criminal Record Check
- Excellent communication skills
