We are currently seeking a talented Chef with experience working as a Catering Manager to lead our team at our client’s busy School Campus overseeing the service delivery across the Boarding House, Tuckshop service & Function operation at this prestigious private school. This is a Full-Time position of 38 hours a week boasting exceptional Monday to Friday hours. Work, life, Balance guaranteed!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the business and the many services we provide to our client
- Menu planning for both retail service times and function catering
- Hands on in the kitchen leading the team
- Food safety compliance
- Ordering and receival of goods
- Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen and service area
- Management of the Food Safety Plan and adherence to food hygiene and OH&S procedures
- Lead the Team in all areas of food presentation and production
- Maintaining a strong relationship with the staff, clients and School Community on site
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A passion for great food and customer service
- A people person who thrives on positive interaction with staff, clients and a can do approach
- Experience working under pressure in a similar role in a corporate/client workplace
- Experience with systems such as ordering software, payroll etc
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and develop staff to exceed
- Leader in OH&S and Food Hygiene requirements
- Great personal grooming, presentation and a confident and pleasant manner
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Proven experience within kitchen production
