We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our Pavilion team. This is an excellent opportunity for a career-minded individual with a strong work ethic, passion for food and excellent communication skills to join this evolving company.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cooking, preparing food and carrying out general kitchen duties
- Deliver to our customers highest quality of premium service
- Preparing new recipes, estimate costs and order food supplies
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Working with a team of kitchen staff
- Manage other employees in the kitchen
- Adhering to food safety
- Should be able to work unsupervised
- Food Handlers Supervisor Certificate an advantage
- Shifts may be split and weekend work is standard
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- May train staff when necessary
- Liaise and work with the head Chef
This is how you’ll know you’re right for this role...
- Chef trade qualification or experience in a similar role.
- Up to date knowledge of current food trends, dietary developments, and an innovative approach to operations
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices including HACCP standards
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Friendly, energetic, and hard-working attitude
- Ability to create rapport with a variety of individuals
- Strong desire to achieve exceptional food quality and guest service
- Ability to work and meet deadlines, achieving high-quality outcomes, and the ability to be flexible when required to meet guests’ and clients’ needs
- Availability to work days, nights, public holidays, and weekends according to business demands.
