Responsibilities
In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Collaborating with our chefs to craft innovative menus that align with the essence of our restaurant.
- Managing the restaurant's operations smoothly, including organizing and overseeing events and functions such as weddings and regional food and wine festivals.
- Managing budgets carefully, including the procurement and pricing of goods in an efficient manner.
- Monitoring inventory closely and keeping precise records of stock transactions.
- Handling all financial transactions and ensuring daily reconciliation of accounts.
- Guaranteeing the restaurant's operation is both profitable and compliant with safety regulations.
- Upholding strict health and safety standards.
- Prioritizing customer satisfaction and enhancing the dining experience.
- Hiring new team members as needed.
- Training and managing staff to uphold our standard of customer service.
- Handling reservations, greeting guests, and, if necessary, taking orders to assure efficient service.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma or Associate Degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Alternatively, a minimum of five years of experience in a restaurant management role for those without formal qualifications.
- Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or willingness to obtain it.
