Role Overview
As our full-time Personal Receptionist in the Cardiology department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing personal assistance to one of our esteemed cardiologists, along with offering essential administrative support to our medical team and front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities;
- Diary Management: Efficiently manage a busy diary, including scheduling appointments, confirming bookings, and handling any last-minute changes with exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
- Private Consulting Coordination: Coordinate private consulting appointments and hospital bookings by liaising with the nurse, ensuring seamless scheduling and optimal resource utilisation.
- Billing and Claims Management: Process Medicare and DVA claims, as well as private billings, with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Patient-Facing Reception: Provide outstanding customer service and patient care at the reception desk, including handling payments, booking appointments, and offering friendly assistance.
- Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as answering phone enquiries, managing patient appointments, and providing support to staff and specialist doctors.
Skills and Experience;
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in data entry, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent time management abilities, enabling effective prioritisation and organisation of tasks.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferably in a similar setting.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, including doctors, staff, and patients.
- Prior experience with Genie or similar software systems, along with strong computer skills.
- Flexibility in working hours and shifts, with a reliable and adaptable attitude.
