In The Deep teaches kids to become confident, relaxed swimmers so that they too can participate in and grow up to love, respect and feel at ease in the water.

THE ROLE - What we do
In The Deep empowers kids to flourish in the water, by teaching them how to swim.
With our world-class program and structured, thorough approach to teaching, we break down a complex skill into an easier-to-grasp, personal experience.
With lots of fun and courage- building along the way, we reveal the wonders of being in the water, gently guiding kids to become relaxed, stress-free swimmers.

• As an In The Deep swim teacher you're a shining light to all the kids in the school!
• You bring a smile to their faces when they come into the pool and see you.
• They know that they can trust you, even though sometimes you push them to do things that are difficult, they feel safe and know that you care and that when they give it a go they will do things they never thought they could.
• You love the water and you love being physically active.
• Actually coming home after a shift feeling exhausted makes for a great day at work. You're not one to sit behind a desk or stand stationary for long periods.
• The rewards of teaching children a skill that you love to do — swimming — makes your heart glad.

QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of experience working with children
• Proven contributing member of a team
• Attention to detail - you don't take short cuts

• Growth Mindset
• Can swim all 4 swim strokes well

Qualifications Required:

• AQF Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training
• AQF Certificate IV or at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety or equivalent
• CPR Certificate
• NSW Working With Children Check
