In our growth phase, we're actively searching for a Functional Safety Engineer to join our team based in Perth. 

Responsibilities:

• Support internal and external customer Functional Safety lifecycle activities to ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards, WHS laws, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate Functional Safety into the project lifecycle.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure Safety-related control system and electrical projects meet desired Functional Safety outcomes.
• Conduct/support hazard and risk assessments, identify hazard scenarios, and confirm risk targets are met.
• Develop and maintain safety-related project documentation, including hazard and risk analysis reports, Functional Safety Management Plans, Safety Requirements Specifications, SIL or PL verification reports, maintenance, and proof test procedures.
• Conduct project Functional Safety audits and assessments to verify compliance with standards.
• Provide client-facing Functional Safety support.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or substantial and relevant industry experience.
• Functional Safety certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ post certification experience as a Functional Safety Engineer.
• Working knowledge of standards such as AS IEC 61508, AS IEC 62061, ISO 13849, AS 4024 series, and AS IEC 61511.
• Experience in the mining or process industries.
• Client-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The right to work in Australia.
