Job Description
YOUR ROLE
The Functional Specialist eLearn plays a crucial role within the eLearn Solutions Team of MACS. This position focuses on supporting the integration and implementation of solutions across various educational institutions within the Melbourne Archdiocese. The consultant will work closely with team members to ensure smooth and efficient integration of technology solutions that enhance the learning experience for students and educators alike.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Integration Support: assist in integrating eLearn platforms, systems, and applications into existing educational environments. Collaborate with the eLearn Solutions Team and MACS business stakeholders to understand requirements, configure systems, and troubleshoot any integration issues.
- Aid the Google Workspace team with technical configuration and support regarding to Google Cloud platform initiatives.
- System Testing and Quality Assurance: Actively participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and functionality of integrated solutions. Contribute to test plans, execute test cases, report and track issues, and verify fixes.
- Documentation and Training: Contribute to the development of technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for eLearn systems. Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops for stakeholders, helping them understand and utilise integrated technology effectively.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to stakeholders regarding eLearn platforms and systems. Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex problems to senior team members as required. Strive to deliver timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with learning platforms, learning management systems, and educational software.
- Knowledge of integration methodologies, API concepts, and web services (e.g., REST, SOAP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve integration issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to document processes, requirements, and technical specifications accurately.
- Previous experience in education, integration or related roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence) is desirable.
- High level knowledge and skills in working with relevant software packages, especially within the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
