SalaryThe Savvy Squire is a renovated venue nestled on the Mooloolah river. We have an iconic location with unrivalled views of the river and a very strong event business built over the last three years. We are looking for an end to end functions supervisor that will plan and coordinate an array of Functions and Events across weddings, socials, corporate and conferencing.
This role is amidst an existing business and client base and will be a hybrid role working between sales and coordination and blending with the operations. The right candidate will be comfortable transitioning from venue operations to sales and coordination across the working week.
We are looking for someone to join the team in the near future and begin onboarding for a busy winter season.
Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Exceptional grooming standards
- A good work ethic with the ability to work deadlines and strict timeline management
- The ability to work alongside the operations team and work shifts from the floor when needed
- Manage relationships with 3rd party online booking suppliers, local community and sporting clubs
- Coordinate daily enquiries via telephone and email
- Running of function and Events
- Overseeing and managing our RESdiary & IVVY online booking system
- Nurturing the team, giving guidance and development to junior team members
- Liaise with management and kitchen to ensure smooth information flow and successful operation of events. This includes setup details, confirmation of menus and confirmation of dietary requirements, specific client requests and any other details as prescribed in the planning stages of an event.
