Queensland Parliamentary Service is looking for a permanent full time Senior Supervisor, Events to join our Catering Services team.
As Senior Supervisor Events, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring excellent food and beverage service at events by leading and training your team.
- Partnering with the Catering Services Manager to organise staff schedules, overseeing financials, and implementation of training initiatives.
- Coordinating with other service areas within the Parliamentary Service to ensure smooth and efficient event delivery;
- Engaging with clients to understand and fulfill their event requirements.
- Reporting on financial and operational issues related to functions and events;
- Utilizing different software and databases to support event planning and execution.
- Assisting the Catering Services Manager in refining cash handling procedures and standard operating protocols for all event-related spaces.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and coordinate large teams in a high-end catering setting.
Team Development: Experience in enhancing team skills through continuous training and coaching.
Wine Expertise: Exceptional knowledge and skills in wine selection and service.
Organisational Prowess: Strong ability to manage priorities and meet client needs efficiently.
Communication: Excellent in both speaking and writing, with a knack for resolving conflicts and solving problems.
Catering Competence: Good understanding of catering operations, including food handling, customer service, and stock management.
Safety and Hygiene: Knowledgeable in maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Tech Skills: Skilled in using computers, including sales and catering software.
