Funding and Budgets Officer L4

Our government client is currently seeking an accounting professional to join their team.

Your new company 
Our state government client based in the southern suburbs of Perth requires a Funding & Budgets Officer to join their busy corporate services team. This is a temporary contract for 2 months initially with a high likelihood of extension. The role will be reporting to a Senior Management Accountant and will have no direct reporting lines.Your new role 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and manage the budget and management reporting requirements
• Assist with projects and investigations related to budgets
• Identify and improve work practices and process improvements in the budgeting area
• Assist with the revision and development of management reporting policies

What you'll need to succeed 
Your previous experience in a similar role will be essential, as will:

• Experience in accounting and finance for a large, complex organisation
• Highly analytical minded 
• Experienced working with budgets and management reporting
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience working with various accounting software and IT systems
