About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent full-time position available for immediate filling.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Asset Budget Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality advice and support to managers in relation to the budgeting and financial management of DPIRD’s assets portfolio. Your duties will encompass Strategic Asset planning and conducting financial analyses of business proposals, tenders and contracts. You will also contribute to the creation of reports and correspondence related to Asset Budgeting and planning, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements and standards.
We are looking for individuals with:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting within an Asset environment, including the application of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
