A funeral is a significant life event which needs to be highly personalised, well organised, and delivered with precision, every single time. A Funeral Director’s Assistant is critical in ensuring that all elements are delivered seamlessly on the day.

Although no previous industry experience is needed as full on the job training will be provided, the role requires that:

This role will entail, but not limited to:

• Setting up for the funeral services both within our facility, as well as at external venues.
• Providing support to our Funeral Directors and assisting them before, during and after the funeral service as required.
• Play an important role in bringing deceased persons into our care and/or transporting them on the day of their service.
• Assist with the preparation of the deceased for their cremation or burial.
• Assist with the detailing of company vehicles to ensure first class presentation.
• Availability day and night and on weekends. Applicants must be flexible, with 'on call' availability.

Importantly this role requires well-developed communication skills, to ensure understanding of all requirements, whilst multitasking to meet timeframes and deliver on high expectations.

To apply you will require a current unrestricted driver’s license and due to the ‘on-call’ nature of our rostering it is necessary that you reside within 30mins from our Nambour funeral home.
