A career in our Deals Valuations (Tangible Assets) practice will provide you the opportunity to help organisations realise the potential of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets, in addition to business as usual (BAU) improvements to maximise organisation value. We help our clients move in the right direction through data-driven insights, ensuring maximum value for their company.
About the Opportunity
In the Deals Valuations (Tangible Assets) team, you'll find yourself in a culture that values wellbeing and working together. Alongside your peers, you'll help develop models and reports that provide fair and accurate valuation and physical asset management advice to help our clients enhance their deal value or current business processes. You'll use your skills in engineering, data analytics, and problem solving to make an impact in Valuations and Asset Management in capital-intensive industries. And along the way, you'll build relationships and skills to set you up for a lifetime of success.
What will a normal day look like? Well, you can count on that every day you will:
Drive creative solutions that involve performing site inspections, conduct interviews with clients and perform in-depth research on machinery and equipment, client, industry, and markets
Create valuation and capital allocation models and asset management improvement roadmaps, drawing from your data analysis skills and engineering/finance knowledge. We will help you develop the skills to be able to apply the principles of the valuation of Tangible Assets (including market approach, cost approach and income approach) and best practice asset management, analyse third-party valuations and challenge assumptions, perform sensitivity analyses, estimate asset lifecycle costs and undertake asset management maturity assessments
Deliver asset valuation and advisory services, including reporting and presenting business insights on findings, methodologies, and value estimates on Tangible Assets like property, plant and equipment across a number of industries and for a range of purposes, including for financial reporting, tax, M&A, impairment testing, insurance and cost and business process optimisation
As a vacationer in Valuations (Tangible Assets) team, the top three skills you'll need to hit the ground running are:
Studying Engineering and/or Commerce
Data analytics skills
Strong communication and business acumen
