Financial Modeller, Commercial Advisory & Transactions

Our Commercial Advisory and Transactions team provides commercial, financial, transaction management and strategic advice to clients for their major infrastructure projects. Our team understands the challenges in delivering projects across the project lifecycle, and we thrive on this complexity.
Your Opportunity – Financial Modeller (Senior Consultant - Sydney or Brisbane)
Our Financial Modelling team within our Commercial Advisory & Transaction team is growing.
As you progress your career in our team, you will leverage your Financial Modelling expertise on complex and intriguing infrastructure project, project finances and M&A transactions.
You will have opportunities to work with and learn from some of the best financial modellers in the world and:
- Develop best in class financial models in a range of contexts, from pre-bid, bid and post bid.
- Review financial models supporting some of the largest and highest profile transactions in Australia and globally.
- Have exposure to a range of different clients across numerous sectors, including infrastructure and energy.
- Manage client engagements or discrete workstreams within a larger engagement, coaching and developing junior staff and client resources.
- Receive tailored learning and development from some of the most experienced financial modellers in the industry.
- Work in a flexible environment with working from the Home, Office, and Client hubs.
How are you extraordinary?
- You are skilled in delivering best practise modelling support for clients, ideally across infrastructure and energy projects or M&A transactions.
- You have an interest in the use of information, data analytics, and technology to improve the way in which infrastructure projects are modelled, planned, procured, delivered, and managed.
- You have an interest or experience in the development business cases and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
Your Experience

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience developing best practise financial models in Excel.
- The ability to develop and provide financial analysis of your modelling.
- Your recent professional experience in management consultancy, engineering consultancy, corporate advisory, accounting or law firms, investment banking, project finance teams, infrastructure funds, construction firms or within commercial or infrastructure teams in operational businesses.
- Positive interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, combined with high attention to detail.
- Ability to balance and prioritise tasks, and work with a high performing, energetic and results-based team.
- Knowledge of the energy sector (in renewable/clean energy projects and energy transition) is desirable, but not mandatory.
