About the Role....

The Gaming Team Leader is responsible for providing support to the Customer Service Manager (CSM) and Assistant Gaming Manager by ensuring that members & guests are provided with an exceptional customer service experience whilst using the gaming facilities. This is delivered through supporting and supervising the Gaming Customer Service Attendants (CSA) to provide service excellence in areas of food/beverage service, gaming machine service calls and an overall high level of customer service.

This is a full-time position with evening and weekend shifts.

Duties within this role include:

  • Lead the Gaming department to attend to patron’s requests while they are utilizing gaming, and club facilities;
  • Attend to minor faults to gaming machines as required;
  • Monitor resource allocations - ensure that the levels of service are at their optimal level by assigning tasks to the Gaming CSA;
  • Manage all meal and 10-minute break assignments;
  • Ensure that staff and patrons carry out the Club’s Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Conduct of Gambling and AML/CTF Program policies;
  • Monitor all club policies relating to dress regulations, behavior standards and membership rules;
  • Report any matters likely to affect safety and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies;
  • Responsible for ensuring the general cleanliness of all gaming areas, including the collection of glassware, removal of rubbish and presentation of gaming floor.
  • Increase patron awareness and knowledge of all club activities, promotions, and other events across each department within the club, by actively becoming aware of these activities and passing the information onto staff and patrons;
  • Ensure that the Gaming CSA comply with the Workers Lifestyle Policy and procedures
  • Monitor all gaming areas to ensure no person is committing or attempting to commit any unlawful act, involving gaming machines, Club property or personal property of patrons;
  • Provide guidance, assistance and training to other employees performing gaming related works;
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays;
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by Management;
  • Be aware of and comply with all Clubs training/reference manuals, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Excellent skills in customer service, attention to detail, communication (in English), time management, dealing with difficult conversations and customer complaints;
  • At least 1 years' experience of Gaming Team Leader role or similar.
  • Up to one months related training or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Ability to follow instructions, use initiative and being proactive;
  • Current/valid RSA and RCG competency required;
  • AML/CTF Program and Armed Robbery training;
  • Ability to meet physical and environmental demands of the role;
  • Cashiering, TAB and KENO trained.
