ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Goods In Team Lead to manage the receipt and processing of incoming inventory.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of goods-in operations, leading a dedicated team and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
A background in fashion warehousing would be an advantage, providing valuable insights into handling, storing, and managing inventory specific to the fashion industry.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee Goods In Processes: Manage the receipt and processing of incoming goods efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular checks and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Lead and Motivate Team: Supervise and support the goods-in team, ensuring high performance and team morale.
- Coordinate with Departments: Collaborate with logistics, production, and warehousing teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor Performance: Track and report on KPIs related to goods-in activities.
- Implement Process Improvements: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the goods-in area.
- Train Team Members: Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
- Manage Documentation: Ensure all goods-in documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Handle Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in incoming goods.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING
- Experience in Inventory Management: Proven track record in managing goods-in or inventory processes.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records and documentation.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Proficiency in Inventory Software: Experience with inventory management systems such as PVX, Netsuite, Shopify or similar.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess data and generate meaningful insights.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to handle the dynamic nature of goods-in operations and unexpected challenges.
